 Howdy to thew Class of 1967 even though I did not graduate that year. Instead, I joined the Navy and eventually retired in Virginia in January 1990. I am married and have two dogs and two cats. I was home to visit the farm and see the many changes in Springtown. I was able to see Robert and Kathy Sorrells for dinner in Azle. I hope to be home again in the next few years and hope to see many of you.

Hi. I have just become the proud owner of a 1963 VW Splitscreen panel van that was registered to Patricia Huddleston in Springtown. I'm told it was used as a parts delivery van for Brocks Used Cars. Does anyone have any information or photographs of it or remember anything about it?
I'd love to have it signwritten with the Brocks name, so if anyone has photos of Brocks' signage, that'd be helpful too.

I would like to say to the owners of Piza Plus that your Pepparoni pizza is amazing!
Art at Main Street Bistro, your Chicken salad is too die for. I'm looking forward to eating your famous Gourmet Polish Hotdog next.
Amy at Tereasa's Creations> I enjoyed the tour in the shop and found everything there so adorable and affordable. It was hard leaving the store with so much to choose from and with such little time. Because of your friendliness and the detail to all the products being sold, I will return and will bring more with me.

I have lived here in Springtown for 3 years and attended this years May Fest on May 8th and had a blast. My husband and I have kids but they are all grown but found the event very entertaining. Everybody was so nice and all the booths had such wonderful things.

I had the pleasure to visit Springtown from 12/19 to 12/27 2009. I'm from Lubbock Texas and have been away (from Texas) too long. My husband is in the Navy and while orders are never garanteed, we are hoping to be stationed at NAS JRB Ft. Worth, Tx. We would like to retire in Springtown and finish raising our three kids there. I'm looking forward to that with all my heart! A very big THANK YOU to Woody Creek Bar B Que in the main square( I hope I got the name right)! The food was amazing! This was a pleasant surprise. I grew up in Springtown when there were only 800 people who lived there. My family and I left in 1967 and moved to Tulsa. I have returned several times over the years and amazed at the growth. My twin sister and her husband were just there last month and took pictures. I am still amazed. Many days, I long to return. Saw some names on the guestbook that I remember. This was a good lunch break. Take care all.

I just love springtown, moved here in March 2007, the people are all so friendly, and the small town atmosphere is awesome, my family ad horses love it too, but an unfortunate misshap took place and had to move back to VA. I just saw the Channel 5 report on that little boy who was paddled at school in your town. They showed the bruises from the coach hitting him for the most absurd reason. My daughter and her husband have 3 little boys. His job was taking him to your area. He just called his boss and told him he would quit before moving to your area. They showed the coach who hit him. How sick do you have to be to act like this? Legal child abuse....I work for CNN.....I'm going to have a hey day with this....

just to let you know there is a place in Derry City called Springtown with an amazing history.there was a play about it here a few weeks ago and it was on for two nights and both nights sold out ...it was fantastic..the U. S navy built it during world war 11 and when they left it to go home to the usa after the war local families moved in to the huts and lived there for 20yrs it has an amazing history ,even by irish standards!! it has its own web site www.springtowncamp.com......have a lovely day all

I have been contaced by a few of Former Encore Memebers from 89-93. Just wanted to congratulate you on your new football coach Brad Turner and his son Logan who played baseball for me in Sulphur Springs. Brad and his entire family are great people and a joy to have on my team. I hated to see them treated the way our school system did brad is a great man as well as a coach, seldom have I had a coaches son without the coach trying to run my team but Brad was the exception, he was always supportive of us but never more than a parent unless asked to help. I will miss Brad, Paula, Logan, Loren, and especially Landry who I was looking forward to coaching. Springtown did good adding this family to your community but you probably know that by now.

Hello everyone! Just sittin here missing home and who would have thought you could miss Springtown? Well i am about to start college at Adams State and very excited.I love it here cause it never gets over 90 degrees it stays mostly 80 and it is fixing to start snowing everyone from here tells me it gets like -40 in the winter. hello all, kurt white here, class of 96. Just feeling nostalgic. Wondering how everyone is doing. Im sitting in Japan right now. I did join the Air Force like I had planned. I am now a Staff Sargeant maintaining Air Refueling jet aircraft (much like a 707) and am getting to travel all over the world. I had been living in Tampa FL for eight years. and during the course i had traveled literally all around the world. I have been to Ramstein Germany for a day, Incurlik Turkey the next day, the former soviet republic of Kyrgystan for a three month OEF deployment (north of afghanistan - very cold, but the chai tea was great), Hickam AFB in Oahu HI for eighteen hours, Anderson AFB in the US territory of Guam for another 18 hours (I've got stories about that place!), and another OEF/OIF deployment for only two months that time and it was to the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) island of Diego Garcia (the stars look absolutely stunning from there). Since leaving Tampa, I have been stationed in Okinawa Japan at Kadena AB (nowhere near Tomi villiage from the Karate Kid 2, but oddly enough that is a real place, its south of the capitol of Naha, about 20 miles away, yet still takes three hours to get there) I am married (4 years this april 6th) to the beutiful Jennifer Beth White (no, NOT Jennifer Beth Perry. its just an odd coincidence) we have two children Cymberly (9 - my step-daughter) and Olivia (2 - from my very own loins!) you can see pics of them at my family website.
And since we have been here i have gone on more trips than ever! Several medical evacuations moving patients in my jet all over the pacific, to include Osan Korea, Guam again, and Hickam alot. I love my job and i love my family and I have changed so much over the years. I am glad to see that so many people are still around. I am interested to hear what has been going on there. Unfortunately I left my Yearbooks in storage, but I am trying to rectify that. So forgive me if I dont remeber all of your names right off, but it has been so long. I miss my old high school friends and i cant wait to hear from you again.
