Verizon DSL Oh yes finally

Just ordered it today. Will be posting my progress when i get the self install kit. Any body else using Verizon DSL in Springtown please let us know how it works. I have been using Parntershipbroadband wireless internet with some good gaming at times. Unfortunately it has a lot of packet loss at times and seems to mess up after a good rainstorm. For a gaming it is not that good but for other internet use it is OK except i would never depend on it for voip at all. Before that i was using Prairienet wireless internet service or they were using me to get some money. Do Not get this service unless you like bad service enough said. Moving own now Springtown has DSL looking forward to reading about other peoples experience with Verizon DSL from others. Grin Grin Roll Eyes Tongue]

How is your Verizon DSL working out?  I have it here in Concord, MA and have experienced some problems (very slow) but all in all it is O.K.  We are moving to Reno in April and I work from home part time and need a good service.  Looking forward to getting back out to Texas after 17 years in the North East!

Well as it turns out Verizon DSL bandwidth is real low cause i am a long way from the switching station. It is 750 k download and 100 k upload. The good news is i get no packet loss at all and it is always on and i can play games with it. My wireless though partnership broadband has higher bandwidth  1 M download 350 K upload. The thing is it has to much packet loss to play games very well and it disconnects a lot. If lighting strikes the equipment and it stops working you get billed 350$ or more. Partnershipbroadbands service is not as good as Verizon. Partnership charges 50$ a month for the service. Verizon charges  20$ a month. Since i like gaming i have chosen Verizon as my ISP. I recommend not using wireless home internet service as i have had two different wireless isps and gotten a lot of packet loss and bad support. I believe wireless is capable but the isps using it are incompetent.
