My sister Sue just told me about this website today. I lived in Springtown from 1964 (3rd grade) Mrs. Newby's class, until July 1974 (when I married Steve Wanser). We moved to Azle for 2 months then to Sansom Park. We had 2 boys, Michael (almost 25) and Randy (almost 23). Steve divorced me Sept 1985 and the boys and I moved to Springtown Sept 1986. I married Dennis Coss Feb 1991 and have 2 girls, Jennifer 6 and Alaina almost 4. I also have FOUR grandchildren. Michael's three ( Cameron Feder, Christian Wanser and Michelle Wanser) . Randy has one ( Hailey Wanser). I love living back here in Springtown and seeing some of my classmates from time to time. I hated that I missed the 1994 class reunion. I was pleased to see a website about Springtown. I lived in
Springtown from 1968 until 1983. I moved to Alaska then. I now live back in Springtown (actually Poolville) with
with my husband, Rene and 3 children, Cheyenne, Casey and Chelsie. My children go to Poolville school, but I

Hello to the class of 1991. Almost ten years. I haven't posted in a long time so I thought I would catch up. I married my husband David in
December 1995. We bought a house in White Settlement two years ago. No kids yet. I'm working on my masters in education with eyes on my doctorate.
I am a 5th grade teacher at D. McRae Elementary in east (Poly) Fort Worth. I am also Gifted Education Coordinator for my building. David is one of the primary cable contractors for Time Warner

Are there any of you out there that remember Bertha Daugherty? She wrote an article in the Epigraph called "The Quilting Club News" until she was in her 90's. She was a real hoot! I am seeking information on the Walter C. Harper family. They lived north and east of Springtown until the fifties. Some of their children attended Spingtown schools: Deward, William (Bill), Ruby, Edna, Bernice, & Dub (Walter C. Harper Jr.). Ruby is on a renumion list somewhere; she is 80 years old.
Spcificly, I want to know the location of the old homestead. It was between the Cottendale Road and Hwy 51. Paul McClung had a farm their. Would like directions on finding the old Paul McClung place. I understand that it is readhed by a sandy rutted road from the old Cottendale road.

Can onyone help?

I was totally surprised to hear that Springtown has its own website. Wow. Springtown is really moving up in the world. I am happilly married, finally and living in San Diego, loving life to the fullest. I am far from shy like I used to be in highschool. I am self employeed and had moved to Seattle right after graduating in 85. I lived there for 12 years and just moved to Ca. a year ago. Don't miss Springtown but I have some great memories.

It is good to see Springtown with an offical web page. It enhances the professionalism of the city and provides an avenue that citizens can use to obtain information. I would like to see a section for each city department; it would also be good to have a "comments" section within each department's area so that the head of each department could get feedback from the community.

SHS ALUMS!!!!!Well...I see that everyone else seems to be offering updates so here's mine!! Although most of you may just remember me as one of the twins!! After SHS I attended East Texas State and earned my first degree in music. I also married my husband, Richard..who's a cop...We've been married 7 years and have a 2 year old son, Brendan. After that I went into emergency medicine and radiography and have degrees in both as well. I have worked for the past several years as a supervisor of emergency medicine with Tarrant County. I work weekends at Six Flags in Rescue Operations. And during hockey season I work for the Fort Worth Brahmas of the WPHL (minor leagues, ya know)I continue to lecture to college/univ students,police academies/depts and women's shelters on domestic violence issues. I stay pretty busy as you can see, but still find time for my boy. Brendan was born with a rare birth defect and cannot walk (YET!!)but has a great prognosis for the future. He is VERY excited about his first motorized wheelchair...He's only 2 and a half so LOOK OUT!!! My knees and walls may never recover!! I'd love to hear from any of you guys!! And I sincerely mean that!! Please contact me anytime....I'm usually always awake...sleep? What's that? I don't think I remember!! Please keep in touch!
